About the artwork
The final work in The Passage of Light Trilogy, this composition originates in Miriam Sorrell’s own artwork and has been further developed through her creative process. The figure rises through a field of blue towards a shaft of light, bringing the trilogy to its hopeful conclusion.
Miriam’s description
After the suffering and silence of the first two images, I wanted this work to feel open and full of possibility. The upward movement of the figure and the light falling from above speak to renewal and release. For me, it completes the journey of the trilogy: the light that was present even in darkness can now be seen clearly.
