About the artwork
The second work in The Passage of Light Trilogy, this composition originates in Miriam Sorrell’s own artwork and has been further developed through her creative process. It moves from the first work’s depiction of the Crucifixion into a quieter image of stillness and loss.
Miriam’s description
This is the moment when everything seems to fall silent. Christ’s bowed head and the subdued colours convey the weight of what has happened, while the blue light remains present beneath the darkness. I wanted the image to hold that difficult space between grief and hope, when nothing has yet changed, but the light has not disappeared.

Available as an A5, A4, A3 or A2 fine-art print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper. The artwork is professionally printed to reproduce the colour, detail and character of the finished work.
