This work originates in Miriam Sorrell’s own artwork and has been further developed through her creative process, combining her original imagery with contemporary techniques to produce a new finished composition.
Miriam’s description
These pieces show Mona Lisa with her diverse modern halos, each carrying words and messages that speak of balance, love and the things that bring harmony to the human spirit.
There is also a strong sense of playfulness in the work, expressed through the vibrant colours and contemporary styling. The halos become both symbolic and uplifting — a reminder of joy, hope and a colourful life.
Above all, the series is about embracing our own individuality, our energy and our own sense of aliveness.
