For centuries, they have stood bearing the weight. Here, classical female figures support both the architecture above them and the male statues placed upon their heads. One woman steps beyond the ordered line, her foot reaching into an open expanse of blue, even as her burden remains. Surrounded by fractured lettering, worn surfaces and urban marks, this small movement becomes an act of resistance. The work asks what women are expected to carry—and what it takes to begin stepping away.
